In October the summer heat is past at Enchanted Rock but sunny afternoons are still hot. Bring lots of sunscreen (min 15 spf). Plan to finish each day's climbing with a refreshing swim in the Llano river which is only a very short walk from the hotel.
Tuesday, October 16th: our shuttle will pick up at Austin Bergstrom Airport (AUS) around 5:30 pm. We will be keeping track of flight times and will take into account flight delays. The drive to Llano takes just over an hour.
Wednesday, October 17th: Today a relaxed breakfast. At 9:00 am we will get together for orientation. For safety reasons we will not climb today. Take some time to rest after your long journey and adjust to your new surroundings. Spend the morning in Llano looking around the town or exploring the river. After lunch the group will visit Colorado Bend State Park for hiking, swimming and exploration.
