Steve Roberts

Steve grew up in the North West of England amongst mountains, lakes, rivers and woodlands. He made Texas his home about fifteen years ago. Whilst working as a software developer and consultant he roamed all over the State of Texas in his spare time - camping, hiking, rock climbing, canoeing, mountain biking and generally enjoying the enormous diversity of Texas.

Since his family grew up Steve has spent most of his time at his home in the Texas Hill Country which provides him with a more comfortable balance between the high humidity of the Gulf Coast, the aridity of West Texas, and the uniformity of the Texas Panhandle Plains. A social mid-point somewhere between the bustle of the big-city and the empty wastes of the Chihuahuan Desert.

 

Steve's quest for adventure and exploration fostered an interest in shamanism. He particularly enjoys his spiritual connection with the open spaces, the rivers and the mountains of the Texas Hill Country.

Writing and poetry have become essential tools for Steve to reflect upon his experiences and an enjoyable means of sharing them.

Steve believes that each one of us must find their own comfortable level of challenge and that life is to enjoy. He started Texas Themed Vacations to bring people together so they can share some of the interests and challenges that have meant so much to him; so they can experience and explore the physical and the spiritual aspects of this ruggedly beautiful landscape.

Steve's aim was to develop a business he could really enjoy. That can only happen if you enjoy it too!
